Do I Qualify?

GREENER HOMES Qualifications

WHSEP will be serving residents in specific geographic areas defined by the 2000 census. See the maps below for details on the proposed service areas. If you are with-in these areas, you may qualify for a $500 – $5,000 solar energy grant and/or a $15,000-$20,000 solar renewable energy loan. We will be using a sliding scale and households with incomes at 200% or below of the Hawaii poverty level will be able to request grants with no cash matching requirement. Those with income higher than 200% can also participate and will be asked for a reasonable matching committment.

If you are outside these areas but in a town on the Big Island under 5,000 in population, send an email so we can include you on a waiting list for future approved areas.
